yeah walker valley isnt to extreme i got a cherokee with a 5" lift and 33" mud terrains welded rear and i made the trails no problem and if there is a hard part theres usally a little bypass trail or something. but a winch is definatly nice. but a come along and some rope and a little muscel has got me out of all my stucks at walker =)
How do you get there? Is it suitable for FNG's like myself who arn't the most skilled off roaders yet... and I stress yet! I have done some pretty light wheelin but nothing I would consider to be to exciting. Generally due to not having a vehicle set up correctly to get into the hairy spots. Went to school in Lake Tahoe and I have run the rubicon (side trails) in my first jeep (94' wrangler sahara), but other then that logging roads anywhere I can find them is about the extent of my wheelin... Hopefully here I can gain some more experience! Is the Walker Ranch mainly for really set up wheelin rigs or can you run it stock?
Walker Valley ORV is just East of Mt Vernon, approx 20 minutes...Yes, one can make most of Walker in a relatively stock rig, save for maybe a good set of tires and a winch...I have seen stock rigs make it no problem one day, then be on the hook alot another day!!!Really depends on the weather...Most of the really difficult stuff has an easy way thru though....
